Do you have an idea you want to pitch and you don’t know how to start? This workshop is about creating, designing and developing your project to pitch to the world! You will develop an understanding of how to develop your idea into something tangible, something animatable and then at the end, you will have the opportunity to pitch your ideas in a free for all special pitch event, an evening of fun and excitement for all!
Session 1: Sunday, April 29 9:30AM-11:30AM
Session 2: Sunday, May 6 10AM-12PM
Session 3: Sunday, May 13 (Mother’s Day) 10AM-12PM
Session 4: Sunday, May 20 9:30AM-11:30AM (Followed by Portfolio Critique)
Tickets: $300 for the workshop (10% student discount available)
High school, college, professionals are all welcome to apply. Must demonstrate an ability to draw and have a good understanding of animation fundamentals. Y’all be drawing a lot so be ready!
Tools: Laptops, sketchbooks, pencils, pens; you’re welcome to present your work in whatever format, whether it’s in Photoshop or on paper. Just know you’ll need to print things out nice and big and pretty for your pitch night!
Caroline Hu has been in the animation business for well over 20 years. She has worked on countless children’s books and has found the love of teaching the next generation of animation talent. She currently lives in LA with her family and cats.
